Is there a yellow brick road to happiness?

Books abound on the subject of finding happiness.  I typed Happiness into Search on Amazon.com and it generated 21,129 books, they thought I might enjoy, with the Happiness Project/Happy theme subject.  Titles such as................

Finding Joy- Simple Secrets to a Happy Life

  It's been in place since July 4th 1776!   It's a God-given right!!!  It's a right of citizenship. It's American!   It's in the opening paragraphs of our Declaration of Independence!!

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

To me, the only pursuit of happiness, is found in the teachings of the Restored Gospel.  I've never found that elusive yellow brick road but I did find, and am on, a straight/strait path, and step by step, I'm enjoying the walk of following in the footsteps of the Savior.  There is a plan of happiness outlined.  It begins with a dream, of Father Lehi, in the Book of Mormon.  He had seen the Plan of Salvation/the Plan of Happiness---  A tree representative of the Son of God.  Desirable fruit representative of the Gospel.---  Eating the fruit, taking this way of Christian living within, has that transforming effect of making one not only happy but to actually fill the soul with exceedingly great joy.

A part of our doctrine is the belief that Adam fell that men might be and men are that they might have joy.

Yes, life can be tough, as is any test, when calamitous personal things happen.  Yes, I can feel bad, sad, depressed, forlorn and on and on but no matter what... The Gospel is the absolute rock in my life.  There is always at least a spark of joy that stays lit, even if my emotions/daily trials, try and put it out.  It is true.

Dig into the scriptures and find true happiness and experience joy.  We don't need 21,000 or so  books.  We just need the Good Books of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Click on the sidebar for a free Book of Mormon.  (or ask me!!)
