Finally....it's time for General Conference!!!!!

What a treat to hear the RS Auxiliary Training right as it was happening through Live Stream!!  It was so nice to meet the new General RSP.  I love their approach and was thrilled with so much of what they said.  I felt they really taught ideally and used their scriptures (which they obviously really know and use).  It was all about living the Gospel and helping others to join us on the Gospel road.  Sharing blessings and helping each other.  My heart was so filled with gratitude and love for the women I know that enrich my life and that would include each of you!!  I just sat and shed a few quiet tears of gratitude for my life and all that I have been blessed with.  Watch it when you get a chance.  It just makes you thankful to be a woman.

So here we go...the party is about ready to start!  General Conference!!  Remember that you can get revelation for yourself through General Conference.  Go back and read Chapter 1 in the current RS manual- President Lorenzo Snow.  It's just filled with promises.  promises from a Prophet so you know that is the truth.  Give your personal life questions a dusting off, pray about them and claim this Chapter 1 promise.....

What I want of the Latter-day Saints is that during this conference, as the Elders shall arise to address us, our faith and our prayers may be exercised for each one who speaks, that he may say such things, and that we may have the spirit to receive such things as shall be beneficial to all. This is our privilege and our duty. We have not come here accidentally; we have come in this conference expecting to receive something that will be advantageous to us.

You should ask the Lord to let [the speakers] say something that you want to know, that they may suggest something to you that will be of some advantage. If you have any desire to know certain matters that you do not understand, pray that [they] may say something that shall enlighten your mind in reference to that which troubles you, and we will have a grand and glorious Conference, a better one than we have ever had before. Strange as it may appear, our last Conference always seems the best, and may this be the case; and you brethren and sisters, let your hearts rise up to the Lord and exercise faith while our brethren are talking to you. We will not be disappointed, and you will not go home, you will not retire from this Conference, without feeling you have been greatly and abundantly blessed.

Time to get ready!

I'm as giddy as can be!!!  My favorite Church meetings are coming up this weekend.  So excited to be able to watch hours of  General Conference!  It's time to get ready...To itemize things in my life that I would love some heavenly help on.  I approach Conference as a time of personal revelation to answers I'm seeking or a confirmation on something I'm maybe questioning....those private things that are in my prayers and only my Father in Heaven knows are of concern to me or of great interest.  I can get that guidance/answer/help through General Conference.

“If we teach by the Spirit and you listen by the Spirit, some one of us will touch on your circumstance, sending a personal prophetic epistle just to you,” Elder Holland says.

 Amazing promise.....

(This tail-wagging-the-dog comment by the LDS feminists really is an irritant to me...

Will a woman pray at LDS general conference?

You know I'm discovering very testy lately!!  But really...Let the 15 Brethren, the leaders with authority, bring this up if they want to do it.  The Salt Lake Tribune gave it coverage and the supporters are probably of the wear pants to Church movement.  I'm just fine with leaving those decisions to the men.  I won't go on and on but really!  The Church replied with.....

SALT LAKE CITY — LDS Church officials Tuesday would neither confirm nor deny a published report that for the first time a woman will offer at least one of the opening or closing prayers during the church's upcoming annual general conference.
“Decisions on speakers and prayers at general conference were made late last year,” said Scott Trotter, spokesman for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. “Customarily, details of the conference programs are not announced until general conference.”
The reason for not releasing the list of conference participants at the time the assignments are made is simple, according to Elder L. Tom Perry, a senior member of the church's Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
“While we make assignments and plan ahead for our meetings, there is always the option in the church for the presiding authority to make changes as led by the Spirit,” Elder Perry said. “We rely on heaven’s guidance in our meetings. General conference is no different. That’s why we do not typically publish a program in advance.”
Still, The Salt Lake Tribune reported late Monday that church officials will break from tradition and ask a woman to offer at least one of the public prayers during the church’s 183rd Annual General Conference, scheduled for April 6 and 7 in Salt Lake City. No sources were cited for the disclosure.)
